Light the Bridge - Friday May 28, 2021

You are cordially invited to celebrate the 103rd Anniversary of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic Wednesday May 28, 2021! The High Level Bridge will be lit to recognize and commemorate 103rd Anniversary of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic that was established in 1918 and was one of the first democracies in the world to embrace democratic values such as equal voting rights to all citizens regardless of their race, culture, religion, one of the first nations in the world granting women equal voting rights and participation. Unfortunately, due to current circumstances, this year we will be unable to gather and celebrate together this historically significant occasion that took democratic values to the heart and founded with a premise of respect for humanity and all the citizens back in the early 20th century. However, you are invited to view the bridge lights on your own while following the current public health guidelines, take photos and share with us! Please use #azcse to share the photos with us.
